The latest new addition to Stop Spammers in version 2022 harnesses the scale of our community to harden your websites. With this update, we remain committed to our primary goal. If you opt-in, we will strengthen the Stop Spammers shield protecting your sites from bad actors and reducing the number of false positive flags of good actors.
What HiveMind Will Do
We have built new APIs that will collect both blocked and allowed IP addresses from websites that have opted-in. Our database will have summed view of each IP address reported. Those IP addresses that cross our threshold are then fed back to your websites in the corresponding arrays (community block and community allow) as part of two brand new spammer checks.
Safeguarding My Site with HiveMind
When you update to Stop Spammers 2022, you will see a notification asking if you would like to opt-in to this new feature. Please go to Protection Options and enable the feature. The free version of our API service will add 100 of the most reported IP addresses to your security checks. If you would like to check against all IP addresses in our database and support future development, please consider purchasing Stop Spammers Premium.
We believe in the power of a community of this size, which is why we see this feature as an opportunity to shore up potential gaps in security. False positives are a part of hardening any website, and we understand this may happen. Please use our IP Lookup Tool if you suspect and IP address you manage has been falsely flagged and contact our support.

Thank You for your good work of securing different websites.
I would like to know if I can activate another security plugin like Wordfence after enabling Stop spammers to my website.
