Version 2020.6 of the popular security and anti-spam tool is nearing completion. We have some exciting new developments, many of which are customer feature requests or issues reported within the community. We value all feedback we receive, and this update is our testament to the fact that we’re not simply paying lip service when we say that.
Much of our focus in core was on the Challenge & Deny functionality. For Premium, we continue to integrate our custom-built honeypot with third-party forms plugins, including popular visual builders.
New Features in 2020.6
FREE: Include an Approve or Deny action link in the web admin allow request email back to the website where the request was initiated. This will help clear up possible confusion for admins who managed multiple WordPress sites or a multisite installation. From the link, you can easily see on which site or sub-site a request was initiated (customer request).
FREE: With this new option, if a web admin approves an allow request, the requester will be automatically notified via email that they have been added to the allow list (customer request).
PREMIUM: Brute force protection on the themeable Stop Spammers login form
PREMIUM: Honeypot Integration with popular Visual Builders
- Divi builder honeypot integration
- Elementor honeypot integration (customer request)
PREMIUM: Redirect wp-login.php to 404 when themed login enabled
Updates in 2020.6
FREE: Allow Request Screen Cleanup
The user experience left a little to be desired. We have made the instructions clearer and increased the width of the message box. If a user has been blocked when trying to submit a contact form, they are now instructed to place that message in the text area.
FREE: Update Stop Spammers menu icon to ‘S’ logo
PREMIUM: Enhancements to the UI of the premium features page
Fixes in 2020.6
FREE: Conditional fields hidden on page load when option is enabled
FREE: Resolve PHP error with multisite network configuration
FREE: Wrong key used for the spam reason in the allow request email template sent to the web admin
FREE: Support HTML and shortcode in the customizeable spammer message – (customer reported)
